Katrina Bacon
Chief Executive Officer
Katrina has over 25 years of experience working in the superannuation industry, including as a consulting actuary with Towers Perrin and, prior to joining FEAL in January 2023, as a director in KPMG’s Superannuation Advisory practice. She has worked with funds and providers across the industry on all aspects of superannuation, and has a detailed understanding and broad experience of the operational and strategic challenges and opportunities facing the industry.
Katrina is also President of the Kuringai Youth Orchestra, a community youth orchestra for high school and university students.
Katrina values and promotes the unique role that FEAL plays in the not-for-profit sector, to support its current and emerging leaders in achieving the retirement outcomes of working Australians..
Justine Rintoul
Finance & Operations Manager
Justine has over 20 years’ experience working in commercially focused roles in Media, Digital and Telecommunications in both London and Sydney. Justine joined the FEAL team in 2023.
Renee Villasanti
Marketing and Communications Manager
Renee joined FEAL early 2016 bringing with her a background in marketing and events across entertainment and corporate.

Brian Delaney - Independent Chair
Brian joined the FEAL board as Chair in May 2022. He brings more than 30 years of funds management experience gained during his tenure with QIC, and AMP Capital. Most recently as U.S. Senior Managing Director Brian led QIC’s efforts to foster client relationships and business development opportunities in the U.S, supporting the corporate strategy and investment teams across four offices in New York City, San Francisco, Cleveland and Los Angeles. Brian is a graduate of the Harvard Business School Executive Education Program, a life member of the Association of Superannuation Funds (ASFA), as well as a Fellow of ASFA and AICD.

Chris Davies - TelstraSuper
Chris joined the FEAL board in November 2022. As Chief Executive Officer of TelstraSuper, Chris Davies is responsible for the strategic direction of the fund and overseeing its operational management to meet the needs of our members. Chris holds a Bachelor of Economics and a Bachelor of Law and started his career practicing law in national firms, before moving to the financial services sector.

Steve Hill - Aware Super
Steve joined the FEAL board in May 2023. As a member of the Group Executive team at Aware Super, he is responsible for all areas of human resources, the physical workplace and internal communications. Steve joined Aware Super in 2013 following an extensive career in the UK and Asia Pacific region. Steve has over 25 years’ HR experience working in senior roles for organisations including PricewaterhouseCoopers, ANZ Banking Group, Commonwealth Bank and Qantas. Steve started his career as an accountant, specialising in the field of corporate recovery.

Gemma Kyle - Rest
Gemma joined the FEAL board in May 2023. Gemma is a highly experienced Chief Risk Officer with a strong track record of success in designing, implementing and managing risk frameworks in complex and dynamic environments. As the Chief Risk Officer for Rest, Gemma is responsible for leading a diversified team that includes strategic sourcing, company secretariat, legal, audit, security, risk and compliance.

Ian Patrick - Australian Retirement Trust
Ian joined the FEAL board in December 2023. Ian is the CIO of Australian Retirement Trust (ART) and is responsible for leading the investment teams that design and implement ART’s investment strategies, including maintaining a strong focus on governance. He has more than 25 years’ experience in the institutional investment industry. Prior to joining Sunsuper in 2015 he held the position of CEO at JANA Investment Advisors. Ian is an actuary, holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours), a Masters of Business Administration and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.

John Piteo - Funds SA
John joined the FEAL board in November 2024. John was appointed as Funds SA’s Chief Executive Officer effective 30 September 2023, recognising his strong leadership skills, experience, and expertise in financial management. He is responsible for the day-to-day management of the corporation.
John joined Funds SA in 1995 and has worked across a range of finance and investment operations related roles. In 2004, he was appointed as Funds SA’s inaugural Chief Financial Officer and served in the Chief Operating Officer role from 2016 until his appointment as CEO.
John holds a Bachelor of Arts in Accountancy from the South Australian Institute of Technology (now the University of South Australia), and a Company Directors Course Diploma from the Australian Institute of Company Directors. He is a Fellow of CPA Australia and a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Natalie Previtera NGS Super
Natalie joined the FEAL board in September 2023. Natalie was appointed Chief Executive Officer at NGS Super on 5 June 2023, following nine months acting in the role. She was appointed Acting Chief Executive Officer in August 2022, following her appointment as Chief Risk and Governance Officer in 2021, after joining the Fund in 2019. As Chief Executive Officer, Natalie is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Fund's operations, while leading the Executive team in the successful execution of the Fund's business plan.

Belinda Ray - AustralianSuper
Belinda joined the FEAL board in November 2022. Belinda is Chief Audit Executive at AustralianSuper and has over 27 years’ experience in the financial services industry including auditing, accounting, risk management, consulting, governance, compliance and company secretarial. Belinda is a Chartered Accountant and has a Graduate Diploma in Organisational Leadership through the FEAL/MBS Masters Program. Belinda is Chair of the FEAL Finance Committee.

Lisa Samuels - HESTA
Lisa joined the FEAL board in April 2022. Lisa is the Chief Experience Officer at HESTA and her team is responsible for member experience, member services and operations, brand, marketing, policy and advocacy. Prior to joining HESTA, Lisa worked for a number of industry super funds and has more than 25 years’ experience in the financial services sector. Lisa has a Masters of Organisational Leadership through the FEAL/MBS Masters Program.
